Course fee is $360 for 1 adult, 1 child and 1 dog. Including use of grooming equipment and grooming notes for participants.

The booking of this course does not allow for cancellations. However, we are able to reschedule but not refund. If you wish to reschedule then this must be requested at least 7 working days prior to course date. A non-refundable administration fee of $20 applies for every change request. There is no exception due to operational costs incurred.

You and your child will be awarded a Certificate of Achievement.

Participants will learn a basic skill set on dog grooming including: Use of dog grooming tools, Brushing & combing, Ear cleaning, Teeth brushing, Nail trimming, Trimming of paw pad fur, Sanitary area trimming, Bathing tips (you could get wet!), Perform anal gland expression, Drying techniques and Complete the look with a ribbon or bandana.

Minimum age for child is 7 Year Old.

No, you don't need to have any prior dog grooming experience as this workshop is designed to provide you and your child a basic dog grooming knowledge and skill. However, some experience with dogs will be added advantage.

Safety for the dogs and humans is the top priority when we conduct the workshop. We strongly do not encourage dogs to mingle during class in case of dog fight accident.

Participants are required to bring their own dog to class for practical, so the trainer is able to guide the proper technique to handle your dog during grooming.

No. Participants who are attending this workshop will only be handling their own dogs. They will not be able to handle the dogs of other participants.

This workshop is design for parents and kids come together for a fun-filled and educational bonding session with their fur-kid. This workshop includes basic grooming skills that will benefit you and your child with knowledge of caring for your fur-kid’s well-being and you will leave the session with your fur-kid looking nice and fresh!

Yes. You and your child can register together for this workshop.

Please wear comfortable clothing as there are a fair bit of practical exercises (You could get wet when bathing the dog!) T-shirt, trousers, shorts or jeans are okay. You may want to bring extra set of clothes to change after class.

The workshop focuses on hands-on and it consists of 75% practical and 25% theories. It is conducted in a fun and interactive environment which makes learning enjoyable and helps retain the skills you and your child have learnt to memory!

While we welcome everyone who has the passion for pet grooming, we understand that not everyone is suitable to take up the skills. The process of pet grooming requires patience and care for pets and the groomers. Safety for the pets and humans is the top priority when we conduct the course. Dog Haven reserves the right to accept or reject the application for whatever reason.
